In August 2024, we headed up to the Cairns/Port Douglas region for a few days, prior to a one week birding trip with Bellbird Tours, starting in Lockhart River in Cape York. The Iron Range in Cape York is a unique birding spot with several endemic species, and an absence of common birds such as crows and miners. From there we made our way down South to the Atherton Tablelands, via the Daintree area. These photos are from both the pre-tour holiday (first section) and from the tour itself.
